Parents Protest Vaccination Awareness Week Arranged By The WHO

June 4, 2012

It's officially referred to as "World Immunization Week" but as many of us have come to learn by now, vaccination is not immunization by any source of our imagination. In protest of the vaccination campaigning by the WHO (World Health Organization), a group of Belgium parents whose children had been injured following vaccinations, placed a row of tiny white coffins outside the Ministry of Health. Parents demonstrated their anger by attaching two vaccine syringes in the sign of a crucifix onto each coffin, symbolizing the death of a child snatched cruelly by vaccinations.

One coffin inscribed with the words 'RIP Notre Fille Stacy' meaning 'Rest in Peace Our Daughter Stacy' stood out from all the rest. Underneath carefully placed was a photo of a baby girl dressed in white. What message could be stronger and more poignant than this, to demonstrate the anger felt by grieving parents on the first day of the 'World Immunization Week' arranged by the WHO.

After all, World Immunization Week was arranged to unite countries worldwide, for a week of vaccination campaigns, public education and information sharing, under one big umbrella, with the idea of promoting vaccination awareness. However, it's unlikely the kind of 'vaccination campaigning' or 'vaccination awareness' that the WHO had in mind.

It was about a year ago when a Belgium court at Tournai ruled in favor of individual human rights when it rescinded Belgium’s long-time mandatory polio vaccination law. It was a rather bold concession to and enforcement of individual human rights especially since the World Health Organization (WHO) in May 1974 initiated its Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) to vaccinate all the children of the world.

It was only in 2008 when authorities in Belgium were resorting to extreme measures to get parents to vaccinate their children: prison sentences. Two sets of parents in Belgium were handed five month prison terms for failing to vaccinate their children against polio. Each parent was also fined 4,100 euros ($8,000).

Since the court victory at Tournai, Belgium parents have been very outspoken about the toxicity of the jab. Parents are even distributing leaflets on the dangers of vaccination. The are displaying placards demanding vaccination freedom for their country. They believe like many of us do that it is a parents right to choose whether they vaccinate their children or not and that this right is being slowly taken from them by their government.

Will the Belgium government be willing to listen once and for all? Belgium is a world leader in the export of pharmaceutical products, accounting for over 10% of Belgium's total exports a year. Belgium is also the home to the largest GlaxoSmithKline plant in the world. Their headquarters, GSK Biologicals, employs over 12.000 people worldwide, 7,500 of whom are employed in its three Belgian sites.

Could this be one of the reasons that parents in Belgium are being bullied into having their children vaccinated just to enable them to get into daycare facilities?

One mother Florence Platteuw explained how despite proof from her doctor that her child had suffered an adverse reaction to a combination vaccine, she was told that her son needed to be fully vaccinated to enable him to attend nursery.

Ms Platteuw explained: (translated)

"I showed the doctor's certificate to the nursery director but they didn't consider that certificate. They didn't even ask for a second (expert) assessment; they estimated that our doctor's contraindication wasn't sufficient. They expelled the baby from the nursery."

The nursery's actions were disgraceful. This should never have happened because the only mandatory vaccination in Belgium is the IPV or Polio vaccine.

Despite Belgium being a leader in promoting pharmaceutical products parents Mr. and Mrs. Sirjacobs were asked their views on the dangers of vaccinations and if they were prepared to give an interview for the European Parliament TV website.

The protest had been organized in memory of their two and half month old daughter Stacy, who died of septicaemia (blood poisoning) just one week after she had received her first vaccinations in October 2011. Mr. and Mrs. Sirjacobs believe that the vaccinations Stacy received brought on the condition Waterhouse Friedrichson Syndrome which they say ultimately led to her death.

For European Parliament/EuroparlTV to acknowledge adverse reactions to vaccination, is a massive achievement and will ultimately aid the many parents fighting to expose the dangers of vaccinations. The European Parliament TV documentary is now available.

The short documentary titled 'Should Parents Vaccinate Their Children?' begins half way through their regular '7 Days in Europe'' programme. The documentary is in French however, part of the film has been translated into English to aid non French speaking readers. (sadly this translation is of poor quality.)

The documentary begins with presenter Patrick Delfosse stating:

"Every time a child is born parents receive a precise recommendation before leaving the hospital, 'don't forget to vaccinate your baby'. The most well known cocktail is the so called MMR against Measles, Mumps and Rubella but not the only jab we receive in our life.

More and more parents fear that it could influence the health of their children and of April was the European Vaccination Week. Every year the same debate starts again 'should we or should we not vaccinate them'? So we brought the debate into European Parliament."(sic)

Before speaking to his guest Dr Charles Tannock, Mr. Delfosse begins with a short film presented by Arnaud Demolder. (Translated from French to English)

The film tells the story of unvaccinated 15 year old girl Natasia who had been in a coma having caught measles who said:

"I suffer from urinary problems because of the paralysis and because I have lost control of my muscles. I weighed 50 Kg and now 39."

Reporter Demolder asks: "whose fault is it?" adding that Natasia's mother was like many other parents and had decided not to vaccinate her children.

Demolder goes on to explain that Measles can have serious consequences such as neurological damage, ear infections and pneumonia. He says that if 95% of the population were vaccinated, the other 5% would be protected. These would include new born babies and people with immune deficiencies even if they were unvaccinated. The reasons why parents don't vaccinate he says is that they forget or that they fear a bad reaction.

Natasia's mother said:

"I decided not to have Nastasia vaccinated because I think we create our own immunity. I have always tried to take care of my children with homeopathy.

Before getting measles Nastasia had never been sick. I am not against the principle of vaccines because prevention is important, nevertheless there are many additives and other products in the vaccines".

The documentary then moved on to the protest and to the interview with Mr. and Mrs. Sirjacobs where the reporter Patrick Delfosse says:

(Exact video translation)

"There are voices all over Europe against vaccination. In Brussels they were a few dozen people show late April for freedom vaccinate".

Representative Renaud Lacroix from the 'Foundation to Support Victims of Chronic Poisoning' says a little about the protest before reporter Arnaud Demolder takes up the story of Stacy. (translated on google translate)

"In a democratic country, it's the least we have, the freedom to act to heal and care for children.

We find two protesters at home. In 2011 Rapheal and Beatrice lost their daughter Stacy senior two and a half months. Here too, the same question arises, who is to blame? Shortly after a 1st vaccination, Stacy died of blood poisoning.

For her parents, Stacy died of her vaccines. She has received a cocktail of vaccines, quite a mixture, the bacterium Haemophilus influenzae can cause the syndrome Waterhouse. The case is in the hands of justice.

After the death of Stacy her parents decided not to vaccinate her twin sister.

Choice or Obligation?

According to WHO, vaccines save the lives of 2.5 million children each year. The debate is far from closed."(sic)

Patrick Delfosse then turned to Dr Charles Tannock stating: (previously translated into English by a translator)

"You are a MEP and also a psychiatrist; you are a member of the conservatives and reformist here at the European Parliament."

Before proceeding to interview the G.P. to get his views.

The interview Between Dr Tannock and Reporter Patrick Delfosse.

(previously translated into English by a translator)

Mr. Delfosse begins by saying:

"Dr Tannock the debate goes on and on should we or should we not vaccinate. People are scared today to vaccine their children because they hear about such stories. should we or should we not, what is your point of view?"

Dr Tannock replies:

"I have a professional expertise because I am a medical doctor. I am the father of small children and I have obviously studied the issue carefully over the years. People of course sometimes have fears, they can be well founded fears, they can be irrational fears blown out of all proportion and they can become almost phobic as it were. I mean some people fear flying errr you know, some people fear getting into a car, there is a risk in everything we do in our lives

In the case of vaccination, in my professional view and in my political view as a politician the risks are very, very tiny and they are vastly outweighed by the rewards in terms of the benefits to the individual and to society as a whole. So I am fully behind public health measures to ensure that the vast majority of the populations have all their normal vaccinations which have been very well studied over very many years, and of course if you are a proper doc.. if you are a diligent doctor you ask certain questions about the child before you vaccinate them. Are they allergic to eggs or do they have an immunity problem in terms of are they immune compromised in terms for whatever reason. Of course there are some individuals who must not be vaccinated and that is understood."

Mr. Delfosse at this point brings up the issue of what he calls 'terrible diseases' such as polio saying "it is a very heavy important disease."

Dr Tannock

"Polio is a terrible disease, I mean before the vaccines were invented for polio many many children were in iron lungs, they were paralyzed or they died. I mean it is all very well, it is a luxury that we cannot really afford to be complacent about. To start to say that we don't want to have vaccinations. Vaccinations have revolutionized public health in industrialized and developed countries. If you go to the third world, the developing world, children are still dying of these diseases err and while I have every sympathy if you lose your child, clearly that's a tragedy for that family and of course that needs to be fully investigated, Were all the protocols adhered to? Is there evidence that that was a direct allergic reaction to the vaccination? Could there have been another cause of death and so on? Everything has to be looked at very carefully but to throw the whole baby out with the bath water, excuse the pun, it would be absolutely irresponsible and I think very dangerous to public health."

Mr. Delfosse

"Many people say, especially in Germany, that you have this discussion about if my child is not vaccinated he will be healthier through his life. Is this right?"

Dr Tannock

"No it is not right. As I say a small number can get away with it because of this concept of herd immunity which is understood by epidemiologists, but if 95% plus are vaccinated a virus cannot really spread around in the community, it can't spread because most people around you are vaccinated and are immune and therefore the chances of transmission are very small and therefore your chances of acquiring it are very small if you are unvaccinated. That is a well understood concept if you start to drop below those levels then there is a risk of an epidemic."

Mr. Delfosse

"There was a question during the demonstration should there be a freedom or should people just have to vaccinate because we know merely that most of the time you are thinking in your very individual opinion that it is all about me and not about the community."

Dr Tannock

"Of course it should never be compulsory to have your children vaccinated it is very desirable and there should be public health campaigns if necessary to educate the populations as to the advantages of why we have these vaccinations. They are expensive, it costs the tax payer money they're not something the state can dispense with for free. It costs a lot of money and there is a good reason why the government spends money on vaccination and why the international union needs to spend more money nationally on making these vaccinations more available in the developing world. I am part of a campaign called GAVI to export vaccinations to the developing world."

Mr. Delfosse

"Maybe we should also have a look at this. Dr Tannock thanks a lot for being with us today."

I advise everyone to see this video. This G.P. needs to seen to be believed. It appeared blatantly obvious throughout the interview that Dr Tannock had been trained to speak like a parrot and that he had little compassion for parents facing a life without their child or for parents caring for a child severely brain damaged by a vaccination. His opening line said it all 'I have a professional expertise because I am a medical doctor. I am the father of small children and I have obviously studied the issue carefully over the years'. In other words because I am a doctor I know everything and therefore you have to trust me. Throughout the film he spoke a mantra of well rehearsed lines getting more and more heated as time went on.

It is a real shame that this doctor could not see the photographs being displayed behind him throughout the interview. While he was speaking, European Parliament TV were displaying photos of fragile Stacy fighting for her life and the protest, with parents handing out leaflets beside the little white coffins demanding vaccination freedom for their country.

I felt that their choice of photos during the interview made a complete mockery of his words.

Undeterred on April 24th, Mr Sirjacobs and his wife along with Mr Labricque, whose child was refused day care for non vaccination visited the executive offices of ONE ( National Children's Office ) the department vaccinating babies in Belgium. He says:

"Several people accompanied us, and we made a video recording up to our entrance where we were asked to stop filming. We were invited into a meeting room with their staff. We were then allowed to ask a series of questions about the vaccine and obligations, and also their side effects, and tell them about our case. However, their answers were those of parrots. The press was also in the office with us, they said interesting things that the public should hear and know, but they have not relayed anything in our favor, but rather the opposite."

Regardless as to the outcome, this whole event is a huge step towards raising awareness of the dangers of vaccination, not only for Belgium but for the world. Mr. Sirjacobs is so determined for the truth about vaccinations to be known that he and his wife are planning another protest in the near future, this time to march throughout the towns of Belgium. Again these brave parents will be demonstrating for the right to vaccination freedom throughout the world in the hope that one day all parents will have the right to choose whether they vaccinate their children or not.
